The global social sector is largely trapped in a past era. The values and methods designed in the 20th century are deeply disconnected from today’s realities and needs. Around us, the failure of previous solutions has created local space for innovation with local people. Questscope was decades ahead of most organizations in recognizing the importance of building local capacity and working together as partners with those we seek to serve, and we have decades of demonstrated impact.
Impact
We are a pioneer in using adaptive networks of organizations that result in both close proximity to people and wide networks of resources to tackle complex problems.
We created one of the largest and most effective civic engagement programs in Jordan – training thousands of young adults as mentors to marginalized youth.
We developed the first and only General Education Equivalence Degree Program (GED) in the Arab World. Our education + mentorship combination is proven to help kids thrive.
In an independent study, Oxford University confirmed that our approach to education was critical in reducing violent conduct among youth.
In an external review, USAID observed that in their 15 years of assessing youth programs, Questscope has delivered unprecedented impact.
