Mentorship

The Syrian Society for Social Development, our Syrian national partner, conducts mentorship programs at community centers and juvenile detention centers in Damascus – currently reaching around 500 youth.

Mentorship in Syria is conducted mostly on a one-to-one basis, but can also be established between a mentor and a group of youth. Mentors, with the help of case managers, also play a key role in referring youth to other resources like psycho-social counseling for help with war-related psychological pressures and trauma.
