Health Points

The Syrian Society for Social Development, our Syrian national partner, has established direct health services and community-based initiatives that prioritize vulnerable groups, such as women, children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.

Health Points offer primary preventative and curative health services to all ages, plus referral services for patients needing higher level care. A community-based team at each health point conducts health education and outreach, and they detect and report health problems in the community.

Mobile health teams carry health awareness sessions to the community, so they can participate in health initiatives. Additionally, medical equipment is provided to persons with war related injuries, persons with disabilities, and the elderly.
