Imagine a group of Syrian boys and girls acting out the experiences of young refugees.  In silence.

This month, youth in Zaatari camp portrayed the emotions of their experiences by engaging the audience in the story of a refugee girl who found purpose through a mentor after facing neglect and isolation far away from home.

As part of Questscope’s mentoring and education programs in Zaatari, funded by the European Union and coordinated by UNESCO, this group of 10-15 year old youth worked together with their mentors to create this play and tell their story in their own words.

They ended their play with four simple words, sending the message they want to be heard: Standing strong with hope.

The message was clear: lives are transformed when they are connected with community, positive relationships and a champion.

Every day at Questscope we see the impact that comes through relationships when individuals are given a voice to shape the world around them.  We believe these girls and boys represent the future, and we believe in their strength and will to create a better world.

Your support helps connect young refugees with hope, and gives them a voice to share their story. Join us today!
